Nov 23, 2021

David Erfle is the founder of, is a self-taught mining sector investor. He stumbled upon the mining sector in 2003 as he was looking to invest in a growing sector of the market. After researching the gains made from the 2001 bottom in the tiny gold and silver sector he became fascinated with this niche market. So much so that in 2005 he decided to sell his home and invest the entire proceeds from the sale into junior mining companies.

When his account had tripled by September 2007, he decided to quit his job as the Telecommunications Equipment Buyer at UCLA and make investing in this sector his full-time job. He personally survived two bear markets, witnessed incredible sector changes, and had to alter his investment philosophy numerous times in order to adapt to changing market conditions.

In this episode, David starts off by talking about his formative years growing up and what led to the birth of the Junior Miner Junky. David speaks about his latest article called "Junior Gold Stock Trains are Leaving the Station" and highlights key points to pay attention to.

David then explains what is going on right now in the precious metals space and why the US dollar index has moved higher since the last announcement by the Federal Reserve. David is bullish and believes that the precious metals market is deeply oversold. He then gives advice to Millenials about precious metals and what market they should consider investing in.

David then shares who his greatest mentors are and provides pro tips on where investors should go to better educate themselves before making any investment decisions. Lastly, David provides his definition of greatness and what it means to him.
